Delta Force is marking its second anniversary with Season Reorientation, a content update focused on streamlining the player experience across Operations and Warfare modes. The season launches September 26 on PC, mobile, and Xbox Series X|S, building on feedback from the game's growing community.

Game Director Shadow Guo describes the season as a response to two years of player input. "Two years went faster than we expected," Guo says. "At the beginning, our focus was simple: make a good shooter. Then players came in and played it in ways we had not planned for. They showed us where the game was strong, and where it was asking too much from them."

The core philosophy behind Reorientation targets what Guo identifies as friction points before gameplay begins. Operations now supports cross-regional matchmaking to improve efficiency while accounting for latency. A new one-click loadout system prepares a recommended setup using the player's stash first and purchasing missing items. The Combat Support Fund covers part of the cost difference when Tekniq Alloy runs short. Guo frames these changes simply: "The important part is the time you get back. You can spend less time comparing attachments between every run."

New player experience improvements include a redesigned tutorial and the G.T.I. Field Manual, which keeps essential information accessible in-game. These changes target friction for both new Operators and experienced players bringing friends into their squad.

Layali Grove 2.0 expands the existing Operations map with new exploration areas along the river, including fishing that gives squads moments of lower intensity between firefights. Fishing has its own progression and map-specific catches displayed in the Collection Room aquarium. The river also features a two-player jet ski and the new Breaking Wave bounty mission, which puts squads on an assault boat. Guo acknowledges the unconventional addition: "We heard the questions about adding fishing to an extraction mode. It is a bit like lemon cheesecake. The cheesecake is still the main part. The lemon gives it some balance. Operations still has its tension, and fishing gives players a short break from it."

Polaris Patrol returns the play-as-a-boss experience with one side taking the role of Security Director Desmoulins, linked to the armed vehicle Requin and backed by the specialized Polaris Squad. The encounter has been rebalanced for fairness between both sides. Rewards include the DESMY–REQUIN MODEL, the game's first craftable collectible, and Serenity, a new Legendary appearance for the M700.

Two new Operators, Rover and Clover, offer additional squad options. Rover can incapacitate enemies or help injured teammates recover with his Dart Rifle, while Clover searches areas and tracks nearby threats. "Rover and Clover can create a rescue window, or help keep the squad from needing one," Guo says. "And more importantly, you can pet Clover!"

On the Warfare side, The Mog is a new map inspired by Black Hawk Down, following a defecting Skynet engineer caught between G.T.I. and Haavk. The map centers on close-quarters and mid-range urban combat with a convoy escort experience at its heart. G.T.I. must move the convoy through checkpoints while Haavk attempts to stop it. Enough damage halts the vehicle, forcing the attacking side to repair it under fire. "The combat revolves around the convoy," Guo says. "You have to fight for every inch." The battle can escalate to involve Black Hawk squadrons, with players able to deploy directly onto helicopters, operate weapons from different positions, or take repair roles.

Anniversary celebrations begin September 26 with daily tasks offering up to 3,900 limited-time Delta Tickets. Golden State, a Legendary appearance for the AUG, arrives alongside a second-anniversary Charm and Badge. Secret Haavk airdrops offer Absolute Cinema, a limited Red collectible inspired by a Delta Force community meme.

The anniversary also marks expansion of Delta Force esports. RISE Series Season 1 concluded with regional titles for Dark Entities and Evil Geniuses across EMEA and the Americas. Season 2 is already underway, with the top two teams from each region advancing to the Delta Force Invitational at DreamHack Stockholm, taking place November 27–29.

Guo emphasizes the collaborative approach to ongoing development: "Players have stayed with us, challenged us, and helped us see the game more clearly, so both myself and the team would like to thank them. We will keep reading, keep listening, and keep building the game with players."
