Dignitas Releases Jungler Joshua Dardoch Hartnett Following LCS Summer Split

Dignitas has officially parted ways with North American League of Legends jungler Joshua 'Dardoch' Hartnett. The 28-year-old player had previously spent nearly five years without a spot on an LCS team after being labeled as a rookie with a difficult attitude on Team Liquid in 2016.

During the recent LCS Summer Split, Dardoch replaced Lawrence Lin 'eXyu' Xu midway through the competition. However, he was unable to prevent the team from going winless. Dignitas officially concluded its season after failing to secure a single series win, missing out on both the Playoffs and potential Worlds qualification.

Before returning to the top tier, Dardoch competed in the NACL, achieving a second-place finish during the 2026 Spring Split while playing for CCG Esports. Having made his professional debut ten years ago, he has represented eight different LCS teams throughout his career.

Following his release, Dardoch announced via Twitter that he intends to continue his professional career as a free agent. He stated that his brief time back in the LCS proved he remains capable of competing at the highest level. He added that his hunger and motivation have not dwindled and that he is confident he can bring positive value to any team.
