The gaming industry in Cyprus has established its own award to highlight achievements of companies and projects significant to the country. The Cyprus Game Industry Awards will be held during the September WN Conference Cyprus'26, honoring both companies officially registered in Cyprus and those conducting business on the island.

The award features six categories: Mobile Games Achievement of the Year; PC & Console Achievement of the Year; People & Workplace Award; Growth & Creative Partner of the Year; and Games Commerce & Payments Partner of the Year.

Eligibility extends to companies with a noticeable presence in Cyprus and accomplishments from the past year, regardless of where their headquarters are located. The selection process happens in stages. Currently, the award organizers and gaming community are selecting nominees. Anyone can nominate candidates through the award's website, and companies can nominate themselves.

As WN Conference Cyprus'26 approaches, open voting will begin, eliminating nominees with the fewest votes. This creates a shortlist from which an expert jury of industry representatives will choose winners. The winners will be announced on September 17 during a networking party at the conference, with the award ceremony taking place that evening. Attendance at the party is limited to premium ticket holders.

WN Conference Cyprus'26 runs September 17-18 and will include representatives from Owlcat Games, Playrix, Supercell, Nexters, Helio Games, SayGames, and other companies.
