Cache Returns to CS2 Competitive Pool, Replacing Overpass in Season Five
Counter-Strike 2's competitive map rotation shifts as Cache enters the active duty pool for Premier season five, pushing out Overpass after years in the competitive lineup.

Counter-Strike 2's competitive map pool is changing again. Cache will replace Overpass at the start of Premier season five, marking a significant shift in the active duty rotation that defines high-level play.
The active duty map pool forms the foundation of CS2 competitive play across all levels. Whether players are climbing ranks in Premier mode or competing for Major championships, mastery of these seven maps is essential to success at the competitive level.
CS2 features over a dozen maps in the base game, with thousands more available through Steam Workshop. However, just seven maps make up the active duty pool each Premier season, concentrating the competitive meta around a carefully selected rotation.
The shift brings Cache back into prominence after time away from the active duty lineup. Overpass's removal from the competitive rotation represents a notable change to the maps teams and players must prepare for heading into the new season.
