Castlevania: Belmont's Curse demo arrives October 1 with save data transfer to full game

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is getting a playable demo on October 1, 2026. Developer Evil Empire announced the demo will arrive on Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with save data transferring fully to the game's October 14 release.

The demo covers the entire first chapter, the same content shown to media previews earlier this year. Players will experience Rose Belmont's adventure through burning Paris as she and her father Trevor confront creatures and face bosses including Death, Medusa, Carmilla, and Joan of Arc.

Performance targets 60 frames per second on most platforms, with Nintendo Switch running at 30fps. The full game is set in 1499 Paris, where the city has been consumed by flames and horrific creatures. Rose gets caught in a dark conspiracy while wielding the legendary Vampire Killer whip alongside Trevor.

Defeated enemies transform into Arcana tarot cards that unlock their skills for spell casting in combat. The game blends classic Castlevania Gothic architecture with what Konami describes as "a fresh take on the world of Castlevania," featuring maps inspired by earlier franchise entries.

The voice cast includes Abby Trott as Rose Belmont, JB Blanc as Trevor Belmont, Graham McTavish as Dracula, and Liam O'Brien as Isaac.

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is being positioned as the first of multiple Castlevania projects from Konami, though details on other planned entries remain undisclosed.
