Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 06 Launch The Haunting Update on September 17

Activision and its platform partners have announced the upcoming launch of Season 06 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone. Titled The Haunting, the supernatural seasonal update arrives on Thursday, September 17, bringing a host of eerie new maps, limited-time modes, weapons, and themed events across both titles.

In Black Ops 7, the update kicks off with the Avalon Night "Forbidden Summoning Event," where operators will unlock seals to free a new creature in an altered nighttime landscape. Multiplayer enthusiasts will gain access to two new maps: Quantum, set within a Guild quantum computing facility buried in Arctic ice, and Bloodstead, a rethemed forsaken homestead where the water has turned to blood. Additionally, new limited-time modes arrive, including T.E.D.D. Trials—a 6v6 special playlist bringing three iconic Zombies maps into Multiplayer for the first time—and the returning undead twist on Hardpoint, Hordepoint. A fresh season of Ranked Play also debuts alongside new Survival maps like Tenshu, Directed Mode for Rex Infernus, and roguelite updates in Rogue Run featuring Paradox Junction and Kowakujō.

Over in Call of Duty: Warzone, players will deploy to Haunted Hollow, a terrifying nighttime variant of Haven's Hollow featuring occult activity, a Ghost Train, Trick or Treat pumpkins, and drained ponds exposing underground ruins. A new 64-player limited-time mode, Giant Infected, assigns eight random players as Infected from the start, forcing survivors to construct a DNA Bomb to halt the outbreak. Resurgence Ranked Play and new Winstreak Challenges for Universal Weapon Camos are also part of the seasonal lineup.

The Season 06 Battle Pass and BlackCell offerings introduce new content, including the Revenant Operator and Mastercraft Weapon Blueprints. Notably, Doom brings hellish forces to the franchise via a dedicated Event Pass and the Tracer Pack: Doom Demonic Essence Bundle. Players can also unlock new hardware through the Battle Pass, such as the VMP SMG and TR51 Para Assault Rifle, alongside event unlocks like the Arcblade Melee Weapon and Roc 20mm Special.
