BGMI adds original character Kiaraa with Diwali Bazaar and boss fight on October 8

Battlegrounds Mobile India is adding Kiaraa, an original character developed entirely by KRAFTON India's in-house art team, on October 8, 2026. The character arrives as part of the wider 4.6 update cycle, though the main update launched on September 16. Kiaraa expands BGMI's India-specific content following the introduction of character Anamika in 2025.

The centerpiece of Kiaraa's launch is a new Diwali-themed Bazaar location on Erangel. This marks the second India-themed location in BGMI after the Stepwell from 2025. The Bazaar serves as the setting for Kiaraa's Test, a squad-focused boss encounter where players face the character in close-range combat.

To summon Kiaraa, squads must land at the Bazaar and locate 4 peacock-shaped lamps around the courtyard. Blue indicators mark the summon points. Once all 4 are activated, Kiaraa awakens and players enter the boss fight zone. She wields a bow and attacks with arrow volleys and aerial strikes. Defeating her yields high-level in-game rewards.

The Kiaraa Nakshatra Collection provides themed cosmetics including the Divine Radiance SCAR-L upgradeable weapon skin, Divine Peacock Glider, Divine Chariot Buggy, Arrow Rain Emote, and Divine Edge Machete. Players can spin for these items through the Kiaraa Nakshatra Spin and access an Exchange Center, Arena challenges, and daily login rewards.

Separate from the character event, BGMI's first India-specific Prize Path runs from October 22 to November 15, 2026. The 20-level progression system offers the Revel 01 Set and Diwali Gold Set as rewards. This Diwali Prize Path operates independently from the Nakshatra Collection rewards.
