BC.Game has benched Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, the organization announced, with sources indicating that THUNDER dOWNUNDER's Tyson "asap" Paterson is set to replace him on the roster.

The move is part of a strategic shift toward an Asian core ahead of the PGL Singapore Major invitation deadline in early November. BC.Game currently sits in 36th place on the European VRS with 1,191 points, putting them outside the top 18 teams that receive invites. However, that same point total would place them fourth on the Asian VRS, from which five teams will qualify for Singapore.

BC.Game CEO Ali Muhanned acknowledged the difficulty of the decision in a statement to HLTV. "electroNic has been one of the most important people in the team off and on the server," he said. "He has been the positive guy actually, and I would say people should not trust social media or clips. He is funny and the guy that jokes around with his teammates." Muhanned added that the decision was made with the Major deadline in mind, noting that had more time been available, he would have given electroNic additional opportunity to develop with the newer roster.

With asap's addition, the team would feature Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, Azbayar "Senzu" Munkhbold, Ayush "mzinho" Batbold, Emil "Magisk" Reif, and Tyson "asap" Paterson, with Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas coaching. BC.Game has signed up or qualified for several upcoming LANs including ROG Journey Autumn, Stake Pulse Beat III, and DraculaN Season 7 to strengthen their bid for a Major spot.
