Apex Legends Kicks Off Street Fighter 6 Crossover on September 22

Apex Legends and Street Fighter 6 are crossing over for a limited-time event that starts Tuesday, September 22 and runs through Tuesday, October 13. The collaboration brings fighting-game mechanics and themed cosmetics to Respawn Entertainment's battle royale, marking an unusual pairing between a tactical shooter and a fighting franchise.

The centerpiece is a new Wildcard mode set on a reworked Olympus map called the Street Fighter 6 remix. The Fight Night arena transforms into Luke's Gym, where stepping into the ring triggers Fighter Form. This shifts players to third-person combat with active blocking, damage reduction, martial-arts combos, and enhanced melee and movement speed.

Destroying Punch Trucks scattered across the map earns Fight Gauge tokens. Once a player's Fight Gauge fills, they can activate Fighter Form. Surviving to the final round triggers Showdown, where all remaining players enter Fighter Form simultaneously and downed or respawning players rejoin the fight.

Fighter Gear kits modeled on Ryu, Chun-Li, Akuma, and Dhalsim provide unique Passive abilities, Tacticals, and signature Ultimates. The Hadouken Mythic Universal Melee cosmetic, available to any Legend, includes custom inspect animations and a matching themed deathbox. Eight crossover skins pair Legends with Street Fighter characters, including Sparrow as Ryu, Alter as Chun-Li, and Wattson as Cammy.

Additional cosmetics are available through multiple channels. A Twitch Drops promotion runs from September 22-29, offering the Insert Coin Here Weapon Charm for watching Apex Legends streams for 60 minutes. A Discord Quest from September 22 to October 12 rewards the Kung Fu Coach Tracker Set for 15 minutes of playtime.

The map features arcade cabinets, Blanka-chan balloons, and other Street Fighter-themed decorations throughout. Zenny, earned through challenges, can unlock a Lifeline x Li-Fen skin and weapon wraps in the Reward Shop. The event runs across all platforms where Apex Legends is available.
