AFK Arena launches Kaiju No. 8 crossover with Kafka Hibino and Kikoru Shinomiya

AFK Arena has launched a collaboration with Kaiju No. 8, bringing characters Kafka Hibino and Kikoru Shinomiya into the idle RPG. The crossover went live globally today across both the Classic Server and Companion Server.

The event runs until October 20th, 2026. New players can earn up to 1,000 in-game summons during the collaboration period. Lilith Games is targeting both newcomers and fans of Naoya Matsumoto's manga series, which debuted in 2020 and received an anime adaptation in 2024 with a second season airing in 2025.

Players who use Kafka and Kikoru together gain tactical advantages. When Kafka transforms, Kikoru receives an immediate full segment of Unleashed Combat Power. Kikoru also gains protection from one fatal attack. The crossover event Subjugation Begins includes Subjugation Prep quests for rewards and daily missions that unlock exclusive artwork. Completing the full parchment grants access to a crossover poster and the Guardian's Vow sticker.

Lilith Games adapted Kaiju No. 8's character designs and combat mechanics for the crossover rather than creating simple skins. The collaboration timing coincides with the airing of Narumi's Week at Work, a weekly anime short series that premiered September 5th and concludes September 26th.

This is AFK Arena's latest anime crossover following previous collaborations with One-Punch Man, Solo Leveling and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. Lilith Games' sister title AFK Journey recently collaborated with Dimon.
