YouTube Playables expands to 50+ markets across EU and Nordic regions
YouTube's browser-based gaming service is now available to users in more than 50 markets, including the EU and Nordic countries. The platform supports games built with standard web APIs and engines like Unity, Godot, and Phaser.

YouTube has expanded Playables, its browser-based gaming service, to users in more than 50 markets including the EU and Nordic regions. The expansion brings interactive games and experiences directly to YouTube's apps and website.
Playables are games users can play without leaving YouTube, built using standard web platform APIs. The service supports games created with engines and frameworks that export web builds using WebGL and Canvas rendering, including BabylonJS, Cocos, Construct, Defold, melonJS, Phaser, PixiJS, PlayCanvas, React, three.js, Godot and Unity.
Developer access to submit games remains in early access phase. Developers and companies can submit their games for consideration through YouTube's Playables interest form.
The expansion follows YouTube's introduction of an AI-powered Playables Builder, launched in closed beta in late 2025. The tool uses Gemini 3 to let creators make and publish bite-sized games using text, image or video prompts. The beta is currently limited to creators in the US, Canada, Great Britain and Australia, requiring an active YouTube channel and application approval.
