Xreal Aura Reservations Hit 10,000 as Global Launch Nears

Xreal has announced that early reservations for the Xreal Aura have surpassed 10,000 globally as the company prepares for its upcoming global launch this fall. The Xreal Aura is the company's next-generation optical see-through wired XR glasses built for the Android XR ecosystem. According to the company, the milestone reflects strong early interest from both consumer and enterprise audiences, validating Xreal's focus on combining everyday design with spatial computing innovation.

The strong initial demand resulted in the sellout of Xreal's first reservation offer, which allowed customers to secure a $199 launch credit for $99. Interested customers can still secure early access with a $199 deposit as the company moves closer to the device's release. Chi Xu, CEO of Xreal, noted in a statement that surpassing 10,000 reservations serves as an exciting signal of demand across consumers, developers, and enterprise partners.

Built through a collaboration with Google and Qualcomm Technologies Inc., the Xreal Aura combines Xreal's hardware and optics expertise with the Android XR platform, Google Gemini assistance, and the performance of the Snapdragon Reality Elite platform. The device utilizes a split compute architecture featuring glasses paired with a compute puck, aiming to deliver immersive wearable computing in an everyday form factor. Enterprise customers across sectors like healthcare, training, safety, and frontline work are preparing scalable use cases for the hardware, while early reservation holders anticipate high-powered spatial computing experiences ahead of the fall release window.
