Riot Games has announced a partnership between Valorant and Spanish luxury fashion brand Balenciaga, tying the collaboration directly to Valorant Champions Shanghai 2026. Agent Viper, a controller character in the tactical shooter, has become Balenciaga's first-ever digital brand ambassador.
Riot revealed the partnership on September 23, 2026, one day before Champions began. Rather than launching in-game skins or a physical clothing line, the two companies are taking a different approach to the collaboration.
The partnership centres on two main elements: a limited-time concept gaming café in Shanghai and Balenciaga's first pair of gaming-specific eyewear. The Valorant x Balenciaga gaming café is located on Yongyuan Road in Shanghai and will remain open from September 24 through October 18, 2026, covering the full duration of Valorant Champions.
Balenciaga is launching the NEO FOCUS, a pair of blue-light gaming glasses designed to reduce eye strain during extended play sessions. This marks the first time the Paris-based fashion house has released eyewear specifically built for gaming. The glasses are available only during the collaboration period, though Balenciaga has not yet confirmed pricing, stock levels, or whether the product will be sold outside China.
The collaboration fits a growing trend of luxury brands entering the esports and gaming space. League of Legends, another Riot title, partnered with Louis Vuitton for Worlds 2019, featuring a clothing collection that sold out in under an hour, a custom trophy case, and an in-game Qiyana skin. Gucci partnered with FACEIT in 2022 to establish a Counter-Strike academy for emerging talent, while also creating a documentary series called GG Legends. Balenciaga itself previously partnered with Fortnite in 2021 for physical merchandise and in-game virtual outfits.
Riot has not shared opening hours, ticket details, or whether advance booking is required for the Shanghai café. The gaming space will function as both a café and a Balenciaga concept store.
