The Rocket League Championship Series World Championship 2026 has set a new viewership record for the esports title. The tournament peaked at 722,347 concurrent viewers during the semi-final match between Team Falcons and Karmine Corp, surpassing the previous record held by the 2022-23 World Championships, which drew over 468,000 peak viewers.

Team Falcons went on to win the championship, defeating SpaceStation Gaming in the final. That match drew approximately 538,000 viewers, lower than the semi-final peak but still substantial for the competitive scene.

Despite the record peak viewership, the 2026 Worlds did not lead in total hours watched. According to Esports Charts, this year's event generated 7.5 million total hours watched across 38 hours of broadcast. The 2022-23 and 2021-22 World Championships recorded 9.98 million and 9.33 million hours watched respectively, a difference attributed to those events having nearly double the airtime at 64-66 hours compared to 2026's 38-hour broadcast window.

The growth in concurrent viewership may be linked to Twitch Drops integration and renewed interest in Rocket League ahead of the game's planned migration to Unreal Engine 6. The Boston Major earlier in 2026 ranked as the second most-watched Rocket League tournament with a peak of 624,000 viewers, while the Paris Major achieved around 528,000 concurrent viewers. A streamer-run tournament organised by content creator Nicholas 'Jynxzi' Stewart also ranked among the top five most-watched events in Rocket League history.

The RLCS will resume in 2027 with an expanded Kick-Off featuring new teams, followed by a multi-month break to allow preparation for the Unreal Engine 6 transition.
