Release Date Finally Confirmed For My Arcade's Gamestation Retro Go Handheld

MyArcade has confirmed that its Gamestation Retro Go handheld device is scheduled to launch in October. Retailer GameStop has specifically listed an October 31st release date for the hardware, which will cost $199. Initially announced by My Arcade at CES, the handheld was previously scheduled to launch in 2025 before being pushed back to 2026.

The portable system features a close match to the Atari Gamestation Go design, boasting a slightly different control setup that has been adjusted since it was first showcased. The device includes an 8-inch high-resolution display, an internal rechargeable battery, and SmartGlow technology. It comes pre-loaded with over 200 classic games, combining officially licensed titles from iconic publishers Capcom and Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. into a single system. Confirmed titles in the collection include Pac-Man, Galaga, Pole Position, Dig Dug, Street Fighter II, Mega Man, Final Fight, and 1942.

In addition to the Gamestation Retro Go, My Arcade's broader Gamestation Retro collection includes two other announced hardware products. The lineup features the Gamestation Retro Pro console, which is described as a premium retro gaming console with 1080p output and wireless pads, and the Gamestation Retro Mega, a tabletop arcade cabinet featuring classic wood construction, a vibrant 10.1-inch display, and a mechanical joystick with action buttons.
