Pixel Gun 2 Launches Globally After Original Surpassed 300 Million Downloads
Lightmap and Cubic Games have released Pixel Gun 2 on iOS and Android, marking the sequel to the 2013 hit Pixel Gun 3D, which has accumulated over 300 million downloads and generated more than $230 million in bookings.

Pixel Gun 2 has launched globally on iOS and Android, following more than a decade since the release of the original Pixel Gun 3D in 2013. Developed by Lightmap and published by Cubic Games, the sequel represents a major expansion of the franchise that has become a significant player in the mobile gaming market.
The original Pixel Gun 3D achieved over 300 million downloads across platforms and generated more than $230 million in bookings, according to gaming and entertainment group GDEV. The title also maintains three million monthly active users, demonstrating sustained player engagement over its long lifecycle.
Pixel Gun 2 is a multiplayer-focused first-person shooter featuring five-on-five PvP battles with destructible environments. Players can target opponents or reshape the map by breaking walls and cover, adding environmental destruction as a core gameplay mechanic alongside traditional combat. The game promises new heroes, new powers, and what the developers describe as "the same chaos" the franchise is known for.
The sequel underwent a soft launch period in Mexico before expanding to Indonesia, Brazil, and Canada in early July. The global rollout to Europe and the US has now completed, making Pixel Gun 2 available to the franchise's international audience.
