Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies VR Launches on Meta Quest and VR Glasses in 2027
Capcom's courtroom drama is getting a VR remake. The 2013 Nintendo 3DS title Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies is being rebuilt for Meta Quest headsets and Meta's new VR Glasses, with hand tracking and voice commands letting players shout

Capcom has announced Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies VR, a virtual reality adaptation of the studio's 2013 courtroom adventure. The game will launch on Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S, Meta Quest Pro and the upcoming Meta VR Glasses in 2027, with pricing and an exact release date still to be confirmed.
Developer and publisher Amata K.K. obtained an official license from Capcom to rebuild the original 2013 Nintendo 3DS title for VR. The remake preserves the story and cases from Dual Destinies, featuring Phoenix Wright's return alongside Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes. According to Amata, players will work through multiple episodic cases with more than 15 hours of single-player content, with DLC planned post-launch.
The VR adaptation introduces new interaction methods tailored to the headsets. Players can use hand tracking to examine 3D crime scenes, present evidence and call out witnesses. Voice activation allows players to shout the series' trademark "Objection!" as an alternative to controller inputs. Standard controllers remain available for those who prefer traditional inputs.
Capcom has leaned heavily on re-releasing and localising older Ace Attorney entries in recent years. The last entirely new mainline-adjacent release was 2017's spin-off The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve. A Steam achievements leak has sparked speculation that Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright could receive a modern re-release, though nothing has been officially confirmed.
The VR version joins other classic games announced for Meta's new hardware ecosystem. Tetris Effect: Mixed Realities and Dice Throne Digital are also targeting 2027 launches across Meta VR Glasses and Meta Quest platforms, emphasising hand tracking and mixed reality features.
