Indian esports player Paritosh has qualified for the quarter-finals of Puyo Puyo Champions at the 2026 Asian Games, finishing third in Group B with a 2-2 record on Thursday. The result keeps India's involvement in the puzzle-game discipline alive as the tournament advances to its knockout stage this weekend at the Aichi Sky Expo Hall in Nagoya.

Paritosh opened his group campaign with a commanding 3-0 win over Mongolia's Munkhzorig Ganbold, followed by a tighter 3-2 victory against Singapore's Koh Mun June Justin. The momentum shifted in his final two matches. Chinese Taipei's Tzu-ang Kuo defeated him 0-3, and Thailand's Tanarak Wongkitikun won 3-2 to close out Paritosh's group-stage slate.

Under the competition format, the top three athletes from each group advance to the knockout rounds. Paritosh's third-place finish was enough to secure progression despite the even split between wins and losses. The Puyo Puyo Champions quarter-finals are scheduled for Saturday.
