Ninjas in Pyjamas Announces Departure from Brazilian Rainbow Six Siege Scene

Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) has officially announced that it will no longer be a part of the Brazilian Rainbow Six Siege scene. The organization's exit from the South American scene arrives four weeks after a fifth-place finish at the SAL Stage 1 split left the organization without a place at the Esports World Cup 2026.

In a translated statement regarding the departure, the organization stated: “It is with sadness that we announce today that we are leaving the Rainbow Six Siege ecosystem in Brazil, and with that, we want to say one thing: Thank you. Thank you to all the fans who stood by NIP through victories, defeats, moments of disappointment, and unforgettable times.” The announcement further added that while chapters change and the future is uncertain, their love for Rainbow Six Siege remains.

While the official announcement did not explicitly clarify the organization's next steps, the specific emphasis placed on withdrawing from Brazil could indicate a potential switch of region for the Abu Dhabi-headquartered organization. This development follows the formal benching of NiP's active roster on August 14, which allowed the team's players—including Gabriel ‘Hatez’ Kobuszewski and Guilherme ‘Bassetto’ Bassetto—to explore options in the transfer market.

NiP originally joined the competitive scene in 2018 and secured a Six Invitational victory in 2021. Over recent years, however, the team has faced strong competition from regional rivals such as FURIA and FaZe. While most of the 2021 championship roster eventually moved on, player pino remained with the organization for a stretch lasting nearly seven years following a join date in October 2019. The new competitive homes for the former roster are yet to be determined, though players like Hatez may attract significant interest after earning three MVP awards in SAL Stage 1 as a standout performer for NiP in 2026.
