Capcom's Monster Hunter franchise is expanding to mobile with Monster Hunter Outlanders, a survival hunting action game developed by TiMi Group and published by Tencent. The game launches October 29, 2026 globally on iOS and Android.

Pre-registration is now open on both the App Store and Google Play. The campaign has already surpassed 5 million pre-registrations.

Monster Hunter Outlanders combines the franchise's core monster hunting mechanics with crafting and exploration. The game aims to deliver an authentic Monster Hunter experience tailored for mobile players.

The Monster Hunter franchise has proven highly successful across console and PC, with over 131 million units sold as of Capcom's Q1 2026 financial report. Within Capcom's portfolio, only Resident Evil has performed better, with 213 million units sold.

This is not the series' first venture into mobile. Capcom previously released Monster Hunter Puzzles, a match-3 game that generated an estimated $8.2 million in gross revenue. Scopely also launched Monster Hunter Now, a location-based title that accumulated approximately $341 million.

A mainland China version is planned for release from 2027 onwards.
