Minion Rush shutting down online services January 2027

Gameloft has announced the end of online services for Minion Rush, effective January 29, 2027. The mobile game will remain playable offline for players who have already installed it, but all online features will cease.

In-app purchases will be disabled starting October 30, 2026, the same date the game stops being available for download from app stores. Gameloft will not release further content updates after that point.

A farewell event runs from October 1 to October 28, 2026, offering exclusive in-game rewards before the final service period begins. During the final months before shutdown, progression requirements will be adjusted to make content faster and easier to obtain. Some previously premium content may become free or easier to access.

Once online services end, players will lose access to live events, leaderboards, cloud saves, social features and online account data. Soft in-game currency will remain available in the offline version, though with fewer spending options.

Gameloft encourages players to spend remaining in-game currency and unlock content before the transition. Purchases cannot be transferred to another game, and refunds will not be issued except where required by applicable law or platform policies.
