Survival horror enthusiasts have another reason to embrace the fall season. DreadXP announced that Heartworm, the psychological horror adventure developed by Vincent Adinolfi, will launch on consoles October 1 following its 2025 PC release.

Heartworm follows Sam, a bereaved young woman drawn into an online world of unrequited promise. The game emphasizes its poignant, emotional narrative centered on themes of love, loss, and letting go. Critics and players have praised the story for offering depth beyond typical survival horror fare.

The game channels the pacing, atmosphere, and visual style of genre foundations like Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Players can expect isometric angles, claustrophobic action sequences, and CGI cutscenes characteristic of early survival horror design. The experience prioritizes atmosphere and storytelling alongside traditional survival horror mechanics.

Heartworm launches on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch October 1. The game is available now on PC.
