The laziest cat in comics is jumping into a new 3D platformer this week. Garfield: Escape From Monday launches on Nintendo Switch with costume power-ups, collectible lasagnas, and help from familiar faces like Jon, Odie, and Arlene.
Garfield: Escape From Monday has launched on Nintendo Switch as a new 3D platformer featuring the iconic comic strip cat. The game tasks players with waking Garfield from a nightmare world filled with vegetables and sugar-free candies after Jon feeds him spinach lasagnas inspired by Chef Monday's recipe.
The platformer emphasizes cat-themed movement mechanics. Garfield can jump, climb walls, and curl into a ball. Three special costumes unlock unique abilities: a turkey suit for flight, a surfer outfit for water sliding, and a cowboy suit with a lasso for swinging across gaps.
The game spans three worlds with dozens of levels. Players collect lasagnas to restore Garfield's taste buds and gather other items to decorate Jon's house. The cast includes allies Jon, Odie, Pookie, and Arlene, alongside enemies Nermal and Squeak.
Garfield: Escape From Monday is available physically and digitally on Nintendo Switch.
