Gangstar Mirage City, Tencent's Open-World Crime RPG, Begins Regional Rollout

Tencent's Level Infinite label has officially started rolling out Gangstar Mirage City in selected regions today, August 20. Pitched as an open-world crime RPG that mixes elements of GTA and Cyberpunk, the title serves as an officially licensed continuation of Gameloft's long-running Gangstar series and is published by Tencent-owned Level Infinite.

According to the pre-registration site, the game is playable on iOS and Android starting today only in Latin America, MENA, South Africa, and Southeast Asia. At present, there has been no official word regarding a worldwide launch. The open-world adventure tasks players with building a criminal empire in the fictional Mirage City through story missions, business ventures, and gang turf battles, while emphasizing a heavier multiplayer focus compared to previous entries in the franchise.

The project previously appeared under the working title Codename Crime-Vice Open World after first being revealed by Tencent Games in October 2024. Following that initial reveal, the title went through staged regional testing in areas including Canada, the US, the Philippines, and Indonesia leading up to today's wider regional release.
