Gamescom 2026 Showcases New Trailers for Fable, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, and More
Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios showcased fresh gameplay and combat footage for Fable at Gamescom 2026 alongside various other trailers.
Gamescom 2026 has brought forth a major wave of video trailers and presentations, giving players an extensive look at upcoming titles such as Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, Cinder City, SPINE, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, and Fable. Among the presentations, developer Playground Games and publisher Xbox Game Studios highlighted detailed quest footage and combat mechanics for their upcoming fantasy RPG.
For fans unable to attend the event in person, Xbox Wire shared a full 18 minutes of quest gameplay centered on Bowerstone, the reimagined capital city in Fable. The presentation demonstrates the intricate nature of the world—highlighting features where players can enter every building and purchase every single house—while introducing Humphry, the disgraced leader of the Heroes' Guild. Additionally, publishers released a 16-minute combat gameplay video detailing player choices, consequences, and action-oriented encounters.
Fable is officially scheduled to arrive on February 23, 2027, with early access for the Premium Edition beginning earlier on February 18, 2027. The title will be available across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and cloud platforms, while also launching day-and-date via Game Pass. Furthermore, Xbox Play Anywhere support allows players to access the game on both console and PC at no additional cost.
