The sudden postponement of the Esports Nations Cup to 2027 has drawn mixed reactions from professional players and coaches across the competitive scene. Organizers delayed the tournament due to an unprecedented international scale and uncertainties created by the wider regional situation, leaving participants to adjust their schedules, training regimens, and personal lives.

For Sentinels player Choi “huhi” Jae-hyun, who was selected to represent Team USA, the delay brought an unexpected sense of relief amid a heavily packed calendar.
