Sportsbook supplier Data.Bet has announced that it is offering clients short-term cryptocurrency and commodity prediction markets to supplement its core esports betting products. The new markets will allow users to place wagers on whether prices for major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum will rise or fall within condensed time spans. Users will also be able to wager on price movements for commodities such as gold and oil.

The system features five distinct settlement periods, ranging from five minutes and 15 minutes to one hour, four hours, and 24 hours. According to Rostyslav Likhtin, who serves as the head of product at Data.Bet, the prediction markets were designed to provide operators with a fast-moving and continuous offering that operates independently of the traditional sports calendar.

Data.Bet originally launched prediction markets in April, though initial efforts focused primarily on non-sports markets. Company executives noted that the feature is built as a standalone vertical rather than blending sports, esports, and virtual sports content into a single category. This separation is intended to maintain a clear product structure and positioning for platform providers and operators.

The expansion arrives as live esports wagering continues to drive revenue growth for Data.Bet. The company reported that its revenue doubled in the first quarter of the year, with overall esports turnover increasing by 70 percent. Much of that financial growth is attributed to live in-play wagering. Company data indicated that over 70 percent of wagers placed during the Esports World Cup consisted of live bets.

Industry-wide interest in short-term financial contracts has surged recently across various prediction platforms. Analysts note that short-cycle markets settle in minutes, giving operators a repeatable betting rhythm that mimics live in-play sports bets such as wagering on the next kill or map winner in a match. Fellow esports sportsbook supplier BETBY also introduced a new interface called SlotBets this week, aiming to provide a casino-style experience to keep users consistently engaged.
