BIG Duo vic0 and Malibuca Prevail in Inaugural Fortnite Reload Elite Series

Taylor-Petrik ‘vic0’ Gatschelhofer and Danila ‘Malibuca’ Iakovenko have secured a historic victory by winning the inaugural Fortnite Reload Elite Series at EWC 2026. Taking the crown during Match 13 of the Match Point Finals, the BIG pair achieved their second consecutive Tier 1 LAN victory following their previous success at the FNCS Major 1 Summit in Düsseldorf.

The path to victory at the Esports World Cup featured intense competition. Aurora’s duo, Oltean ‘shxrk’ Ștefan and Tin ‘t3eny’ Popovic, were the first pair to reach the Match Point threshold of 350 points after winning Match 2 and Match 7, achieving eligibility by Match 9. They were later joined by the French mix of Walid ‘Momsy’ B. and Mathéo ‘Skyjump’ L., alongside duos from Havok by Vitality, Leviatán, BIG, ROC, and T1 as the rounds progressed. XSET even managed to extend the play to a 13th game by securing a consecutive win.

Meanwhile, pre-tournament favorites AG.AL, consisting of Nikolaj ‘Sky’ Helleskov and Adrian ‘Scroll’ Richelieu, struggled throughout the group stage and were relegated to the Survival Stage without ever playing a match with Match Point eligibility. In the decisive final moments of the tournament, BIG took control of the final fight, forcing the Vitality roster downward before eliminating their last competitors to secure the championship trophy.
