BGMI Lite Confirmed for India by End of 2026, Android Pre-Registration Open

Krafton has officially confirmed BGMI Lite for India, marking a major milestone for players on budget and older smartphones who have requested a lighter version for years. The game is scheduled to launch by the end of 2026, though Krafton has not yet announced a specific release date or month.

Android pre-registration opened on August 25, 2026, through the Google Play Store. Players who pre-register will receive a notification when the game becomes available. As of September 25, 2026, Krafton has not revealed further timing details.

BGMI Lite is designed to make the battle royale experience more accessible across devices. The initial download will be approximately 1GB, considerably smaller than the standard game. Players can choose which additional modules to download after installation, with no mandatory packages required before the first match.

The classic Erangel map and 100-player battle royale experience are confirmed features. Existing BGMI players can log into BGMI Lite using their current accounts, and owned items will carry over. BGMI Lite players will also be able to team up with friends playing the standard BGMI version.

Detailed minimum system requirements have not yet been officially revealed. Krafton has not confirmed an iOS pre-registration date, though platform availability details are expected closer to launch.

Krafton advises players to rely only on official information and avoid unofficial APK downloads or websites claiming early access before the official release.
