BGMI Lite Pre-Registration Opens for Android Users in India

KRAFTON India has opened pre-registration for BGMI Lite, a lighter variant of Battlegrounds Mobile India, exclusively for Android users in India via the Google Play Store. The registration went live on August 25, 2026, marking the first official opportunity for players to sign up for the upcoming title.

The game is designed to be more accessible with an initial download size of around 1GB. KRAFTON India previously confirmed that BGMI Lite is scheduled to launch in India by the end of 2026, though an exact release date has not been announced. The company also stated that existing BGMI players will not need to transfer their accounts before starting the lighter version.

Pre-registration is currently limited to Android devices. KRAFTON India has not yet provided a timeline for iOS pre-registration or availability, advising iPhone and iPad users to await a separate announcement. The publisher warns against unofficial APK files or websites claiming to offer early access or iOS registration links.

To pre-register, Android users can visit the official BGMI Lite Google Play Store listing, sign in with a Google account, and tap the pre-register button. The Play Store may also offer an option for automatic installation when the game becomes available.
