Mobile game to offline premium game conversions have become an interesting trend across the gaming industry. Square Enix explored this space with Octopath Traveler 0 and Final Fantasy Resonance, while Capcom adapted Megaman X Dive Offline. Wright Flyer Studios developers spun out to form Studio Prisma and created Another Eden Begins, a premium offline adaptation of the first story arc from the mobile title Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space.

The narrative in Another Eden Begins serves as a faithful 1:1 adaptation of the original mobile game story arc. It follows a young man named Aldo living in the village of Baruoki with his sister Feinne and adoptive parent. After Feinne is kidnapped by the Beast King, Aldo pursues her and gets pulled into a time vortex spanning multiple eras. Scenario writer Masato Kato, known for his work on Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, has worked on the project for about a decade. Alongside the familiar storyline, Another Eden Begins features brand-new story elements, including over 10 endings accessible during a New Game plus playthrough.

A significant enhancement over the mobile original is full English voice acting for main story dialogue. Reviewers noted that performances by lesser-known English voice talent, including Amy, the Man in the Observatory, and original character Ramiu, were solid. However, the English voice track comes with two notable caveats. Some lines suffer from inconsistent audio balancing with lower volume levels, and side quests are left unvoiced in English. By contrast, the Japanese voice track does not have audio balancing issues and features full voice acting for side quest scenes.

Side content in Another Eden Begins primarily revolves around Ally Quests, which mirror the three-part character quests from the original mobile game. With over 16 playable characters, players can tackle at least 48 individual Ally Quests that explore character backgrounds. New additions include Encounter Quests, which replace the gacha system to recruit characters through small tasks and crafting systems, and Kinship Events that unlock when character kinship levels reach specific thresholds. Despite these additions, reviewers noted a lack of variety in separate non-ally side quests compared to the mobile version.
