UK-based mobile games developer and publisher Tripledot Studios has acquired Israel-based hybrid-casual mobile publishing label Supersonic from Unity Software for $40 million in cash, subject to post-closing adjustments. According to Unity’s Q2 2026 Form 10-Q, the sale was completed on August 4, 2026.

Following the acquisition, Supersonic will continue to operate as a standalone business under its own brand and management in Tel Aviv. Unity is providing approximately three months of transition support for the team and business.

Unity previously disclosed Supersonic standalone revenue in a March 2026 investor update, allowing for a valuation multiple on a business neither side had ever reported separately. Alongside the sale, Unity also sunset the ironSource Ads Network on April 30, 2026. These two strategic decisions drove $279 million of impairment charges in the first half of 2026.

Tripledot Chief Executive Officer Lior Shiff stated that the primary constraint for a small studio is no longer building a game, but rather bringing it to market and scaling it to millions of players. Unity CEO Matt Bromberg added that Tripledot represents the right home for the team and the business.

Tripledot currently reports approximately $2 billion in annual gross revenue across 12 studios and more than 2,500 staff. The company previously acquired AppLovin's mobile games portfolio in June 2025 for $400 million in cash plus about 20 percent of its own fully diluted equity.
