Throughout the RPG series thus far, Belleteyn has only been mentioned as a massive celebratory fertility festival featuring food, drink, and festivities, mirroring the real-world Gaelic counterpart Beltane. In the lore of The Witcher books, the occasion marks the birthday of Yennefer, and Geralt believes Ciri was also born around the same time.

The current speculation arose after fans spotted a scene depicted on CD Projekt Red's Gamescom booth artwork, which appears to show festivities by the water, complete with fire. Fans quickly took to social media platforms like X and Reddit to discuss the imagery, with multiple users pointing out the visual similarities to Belleteyn. This recent booth artwork is not the only piece of media fueling the theories. Approximately five months prior, a Reddit thread noted that older artwork for Songs of the Past showed Geralt with a sword matching the one he had next to him during Belleteyn.

While community members continue to discuss and connect the clues regarding the upcoming expansion, CD Projekt Red has not officially confirmed the inclusion of the festival.
