Supercell Set to Absorb Merge Mansion as Metacore Acquisition Nears Close
Supercell has formally agreed to acquire the remaining stake in Metacore, bringing the mobile puzzle game Merge Mansion into its portfolio by September 2026.
Supercell has formally agreed to purchase the final remaining stake in Metacore, the Finnish studio responsible for the mobile puzzle game Merge Mansion. According to reports, the title will be absorbed directly into Supercell's existing portfolio of live mobile titles pending any unforeseen hitches.
As reported by Inven Global and Dot Esports, the multi-million or otherwise undisclosed financial transaction is expected to be fully wrapped up by the end of September 2026. This agreement fulfills plans originally put forward by Supercell in the spring, where the company announced its intention to purchase the remaining shares of Metacore to bolster its roster alongside established titles like Hay Day and Clash of Clans.
While the acquisition process moves forward, player-facing services will resume as normal. Metacore's development team is slated to continue supporting the existing community, ensuring that current players do not experience immediate changes to their gaming experience.
