Sega is deepening its collaboration with Netflix to bring additional game properties to the streaming service as feature films. According to Video Games Chronicle, the company confirmed that Crazy Taxi and Stranger Than Heaven are both receiving movie adaptations.

The announcement follows Sega's earlier successful adaptations for Netflix, including the Sonic the Hedgehog film series and the upcoming live-action Like a Dragon series. A Sega representative stated that "fans deserve this" expansion of the partnership, emphasizing the company's commitment to translating its catalog for broader audiences.

Crazy Taxi, the arcade driving classic originally released in 1999, has seen multiple sequels and ports across platforms over two decades. Stranger Than Heaven represents a newer intellectual property from Sega, though specific details about the game itself remain limited in the current announcement.

Netflix continues to invest heavily in video game adaptations as part of its content strategy, having previously produced series based on The Witcher, Castlevania, and Cyberpunk 2077. The streaming platform also launched its own gaming service for subscribers in 2021.

No release dates, casting information, or production timelines were disclosed for either film project. Sega and Netflix have not indicated whether these adaptations will be animated or live-action productions.
