PUBG Mobile Light Slated for 2026, Love and Deepspace Sees 68% Spending Drop, and Makers Fund Closes $250m Fund IV

As mobile gaming moves into another week, several major developments have captured industry attention. Among the most notable announcements is the upcoming launch of PUBG Mobile Light, scheduled for 2026. Designed as a separate application from PUBG Mobile Lite, the new title aims to lower device requirements and reduce strain on players' hardware while keeping the full battle royale experience intact.

Meanwhile, the dating simulator Love and Deepspace experienced a dramatic 68% decline in player spending during July, marking its worst month for earnings on record. According to AppMagic estimates, the game earned $10.3 million in July, down significantly from $34.2 million in June. Spending fell by 59% in the US and 79% in China month-over-month. This revenue contraction followed a stunted version 6.0 update that faced considerable backlash over a new character named Valko.
