Overwatch Rush Sets Soft Launch Dates for Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that Overwatch Rush will begin its staged soft launch in Indonesia on August 31st, followed by rollouts in Malaysia and the Philippines over the subsequent days. According to the development team, the upcoming release is designed to let them test, learn, and optimize the game prior to a wider expansion.

The mobile title, described by developers as an entirely new game built specifically for mobile players rather than a direct port, has received several updates since its initial technical test in February. The soft launch introduces Brigitte as a new Vanguard hero and includes a reworked version of Lucio. Additionally, players will find a new progression system called Hero Levels, which features upgrade paths for character customization.

New gameplay additions also accompany the launch sequence, including Duo Free for All and 3v3 Control modes. Alongside these modes, three new maps inspired by the Cairo, Dorado, and Gibraltar locations from the franchise will be accessible. Players can also purchase a new bundle featuring the Epic Kingpin Soldier: 76 skin for 2,000 Credits.
