Nintendo Today! App Update 4.1.0 Adds Random Themes and Gamescom Pikmin Hunt

Nintendo has released Version 4.1.0 of its Nintendo Today! mobile app, introducing new features, bug fixes, and an upcoming event-exclusive activity. The update follows the release of a Fire Emblem theme for the application earlier in August 2026.

The primary addition in Version 4.1.0 is the ability to select multiple themes. Users who struggle to settle on a single layout can now select several choices, and the app will display one of the chosen themes at random each day. Additionally, the update includes select bug fixes intended to improve the overall user experience.

Social media user OatmealDome also highlighted an unlisted feature tied to the upcoming Gamescom event, which runs from August 25 to August 30, 2026. The Nintendo Today! app has introduced an in-person feature for attendees at the venue, allowing them to search for hidden Pikmin. Gamescom kicks off next week with Opening Night Live on August 25.
