NetEase Games Club, the official top-up store for Marvel Rivals, Where Winds Meet and other NetEase titles, is expanding payment options across Latin America through a partnership with EBanx.

The deal adds local payment methods to five countries. Brazil will gain access to Pix, Mexico to SPEI, Peru to PagoEfectivo, and Mercado Pago will roll out across the region. These join existing credit and debit card support.

The expansion targets a significant gap in payment accessibility. Only one in four adults in Latin America holds a credit card, despite more than half the population age 15 and older having made a digital payment, according to EBanx research citing World Bank data.

The disparities vary by country. In Brazil, Pix reaches roughly 170 million people, or about 96% of the adult population, while an estimated 60 million Brazilians have no credit card. In Mexico, 33% of adults have a credit card compared with more than half who use SPEI. In Peru, 37% of adults hold a credit card, while PagoEfectivo reaches 64% of the adult population.

Merchants adding these payment methods have reported revenue gains. EBanx stated that Pix integration has driven revenue increases of up to 37% within six months, SPEI up to 46% within three months, and PagoEfectivo up to 19% within a month.

"The next wave of video game growth is coming from emerging markets, and Latin America is leading it," said Sean Yu, VP of commercial for APAC at EBanx. He noted that pairing cards with payment methods players already use provides a more localized checkout experience.

The five markets are projected to generate $8.4 billion in gaming revenue in 2026, with Brazil alone expected to account for $3.8 billion, according to Payment and Commerce Market Intelligence data. Latin America's gaming market grew 6.4% in 2025, outpacing North America's 4.2% and Europe's 3.6%. The region has an estimated 372.3 million gamers, with 69% of its online population playing games on at least one platform.

NetEase Games Club serves as the official top-up destination for titles including Marvel Rivals, Where Winds Meet, Once Human, Knives Out and Identity V, offering recharges and in-game items through various payment methods.
