Micron Reports Record $54.2B Quarterly Revenue as AI Demand Accelerates

Memory and storage maker Micron posted record fiscal 2026 results driven by surging AI data-center demand, with quarterly revenue up 380% year-over-year and a forecast of $61.5 billion for fiscal Q1 2027.

Micron Technology reported record quarterly revenue of $54.23 billion, up approximately 380% year-over-year, as AI data-center demand sharply lifted memory and storage sales. The company also forecast revenue of $61.5 billion for fiscal Q1 2027, results that beat expectations.

CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said the company is increasing investments in technology, products, and manufacturing to support AI adoption. "Micron delivered record fiscal 2026 results, and we expect an even stronger fiscal 2027," Mehrotra stated. "AI is becoming Super Intelligence, and memory enhances this intelligence and the competitiveness of our customers' platforms. We are increasing our investments in technology, products and manufacturing to help drive SI forward with our customers, and our Strategic Customer Agreements provide added confidence in the durability of Micron's financial performance."

The strong performance reflects broader industry momentum. Micron's sales have grown approximately 37% annually over the past five years, outpacing most semiconductor companies. Over the last two years alone, sales grew 130 percent, demonstrating accelerating growth tied to AI infrastructure buildout.

The results underscore how AI demand is reshaping the memory and storage market. Customers building AI systems require massive amounts of DRAM and other memory products, driving record volumes and pricing for chipmakers. Micron's Strategic Customer Agreements with major AI platform builders provide visibility into sustained demand.
