First Full Madden Movie Trailer Shows Nic Cage as NFL Legend in David O. Russell Film
The trailer for the John Madden biopic reveals Nic Cage in heavy prosthetics as the famous Raiders coach and broadcaster, with John Mulaney playing EA founder Trip Hawkins and the film set for Prime Video release in November.

The first full-length trailer for Madden, a John Madden biopic directed by David O. Russell and starring Nic Cage, dropped today. The two-minute trailer offers a glimpse at Cage's transformation into the legendary NFL broadcaster and former Raiders head coach.
Cage's appearance in the role is striking. Heavy makeup and prosthetics have reshaped his face, though the effect is distinctive rather than seamless. As one observer noted, Cage resembles himself wearing John Madden's face as his own.
The trailer shows scenes from Madden's time coaching the Raiders before his transition to broadcasting. It also depicts the early development of the Madden video game franchise. John Mulaney appears in the film as Trip Hawkins, EA's founder, and the trailer includes a scene where Madden rejects an early game prototype because it didn't feature 11 players on a team.
The film's ensemble cast includes Christian Bale, Shane Gillis, Kathryn Hahn, and Marshawn Lynch. Rather than a theatrical release, Madden will premiere on Prime Video on November 18.
