Fortnite Gets Two Licensed GameSir Mobile Controllers Launching October 20
Epic Games has partnered with GameSir on a pair of officially licensed mobile controllers for Fortnite, arriving October 20 with prices starting at $49.99.
GameSir and Epic Games have unveiled two officially licensed mobile controllers for Fortnite, launching October 20. The GameSir G8 Plus Fortnite Edition and GameSir X5 Lite for XBOX Fortnite Edition represent a notable expansion of Fortnite's licensed hardware range.
The G8 Plus Fortnite Edition positions itself as the premium option at $89.99. It features Hall Effect sticks designed to resist stick drift, mappable rear buttons for faster edits and building, and ergonomics built for extended play sessions. The X5 Lite takes a different approach, offering a lightweight wired design at $49.99 for players who want straightforward plug-and-play functionality.
Both controllers feature Fortnite character-inspired artwork and collectible-style packaging. Each purchase includes a digital in-game item, with examples including emotes such as Bully and Gun Show, plus gliders like Cerberus and Storm Sigil.
Fortnite's audience skews heavily toward mobile and cross-platform play, making dedicated mobile peripherals a natural fit. GameSir's Hall Effect stick technology addresses stick drift, an increasingly common differentiator in the mobile controller space. The partnership reflects broader industry trends as publishers expand mobile hardware strategies, similar to approaches taken in titles like PUBG Mobile.
The controllers will be available through GameSir's website and retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart, currently in pre-order.
