GamesBeat has announced a 26-member event advisory board drawn from across the games industry, including executives, consultants, marketers, and educators. The board will help the publication recruit speakers and shape topics for its event lineup.

GamesBeat hosts approximately nine events per year, according to the announcement. The advisory board members serve as ambassadors to the community and leverage their networks to identify potential speakers and suggest event themes. The publication rotates its advisers periodically and emphasizes diversity in recruitment to represent different sectors of the industry.

Upcoming events guided by the board include GamesBeat Next, scheduled for November 2–3 in San Francisco. Early bird pricing for that event ends Monday, September 21. Additional events on the calendar include GamesBeat Insider: Hollywood & Games on December 10 at the Grammy Museum in downtown Los Angeles, and GamesBeat Summit on May 17–18 in Marina del Rey, California.

Board members include Adam Boyes of Vivrato, Lisa Hanson of Niko Partners, Don Daglow of Sausalito Games, and Peter Levin of Griffin Gaming Partners, among others. The group spans roles including studio leadership, business development, public relations, legal counsel, and academia. Cooper Jackson serves as SVP of business development at EA, while Jonathan Knight holds the title of chief games officer at the New York Times.

GamesBeat evaluates pitches from advisers before deciding which speakers to recruit and what topics they will address. The publication notes that anyone is free to nominate speakers through a submission form on its website.
