Dr. Luke Dicken will speak at Pocket Gamer Connects Nordics in Helsinki on October 20th and 21st, delivering a session on artificial intelligence in the games industry.

Dr. Luke Dicken, founder of LuDic AI and former head of AI at Take-Two Interactive, is confirmed as a speaker for Pocket Gamer Connects Nordics. The event takes place in Helsinki on October 20th and 21st, 2026. Dicken will present a solo session titled "Surviving the AI Hype Cycle - A Pragmatist's View." His talk focuses on deconstructing four years of claims regarding generative AI impact within the sector.
Drawing on his past leadership experience directing AI strategy at Take-Two and Zynga, Dicken plans to discuss practical applications. He will outline what works, what does not work, and best practices for studios trying to navigate a fast-moving space. The guidance aims to help developers avoid over-extending or missing genuine efficiencies.
Pocket Gamer Connects returns to Helsinki for its 13th edition, holding the conference at Wanha Satama. Rebranded as PGC Nordics, the event serves as a meeting point for the Nordic games industry and global community. Organizers expect over 1,500 professionals from more than 50 countries to attend the two-day gathering, which features networking, dealmaking, talks, the AI Gamechangers Summit, and the Beyond Games Transmedia Summit.
