Xbox is finishing September with five new game releases, headlined by Neighbors: Suburban Warfare, a free-to-play title that shadow dropped on September 29th across multiple platforms including Xbox. The game was announced at the Big Break Showcase and arrived very late in the day, making it easy to miss.
Neighbors: Suburban Warfare is a chaotic multiplayer party brawler where everyday neighbors turn lawn disputes into destructive mayhem. Players team up with friends to defend their home using everyday items as weapons, from frying pans to slingshots, while destroying their opponent's property before it gets destroyed. The game features both PvE and PvP modes. Early access received a Mixed rating on Steam.
Among the other releases, The Vorlec stands out as a third-person action platformer set in a vibrant RetroWave world. Players journey through dangerous dimensions, defeat enemies, overcome challenging puzzles and platforming sections, and face powerful bosses.
Rounding out the month are several lighter indie titles. Cat Lines tasks players with controlling an adorable kitten that leaves a trail of yarn on a journey full of charm and challenges. King's Blade is a classic beat 'em up that channels the spirit of legendary arcade titles in a grim heroic fantasy setting. Mia's Journey follows a mysterious curse that transformed Mia into an adorable cat, requiring players to find a way to return her to human form.
Balloon Bomber, part of the Arcade Archives 2 series, also releases on Xbox on October 1st. Originally released by Taito in 1980 for arcades, it will arrive at midnight tonight according to Hamster Corporation.
