Fellowship Entertainment to Separate from Embracer Group in 2027
Embracer Group has announced that Fellowship Entertainment will separate from the holding company in 2027, taking major properties like The Lord of the Rings, Tomb Raider, and Metro with it.

Embracer Group has outlined the next phase of its corporate transformation, confirming that Fellowship Entertainment will separate from the holding company sometime in 2027. The exact date for the separation has not yet been determined. Two years ago, Embracer Group initially announced plans to split its business into three public companies named Asmodee Group, Coffee Stain Group, and Fellowship Entertainment, alongside a fourth company called Embracer AB to act as a long-term shareholder. With Asmodee Group and Coffee Stain Group having already left the holding, Fellowship Entertainment is now approaching its turn to register independently on the Nasdaq Stockholm exchange.
Following the departure, Fellowship Entertainment will control multiple prominent development teams and studios. These include 4A Games, Crystal Dynamics, Dambuster Studios, Dark Horse Media, Eidos-Montréal, Fishlabs, Flying Wild Hog Studios, Gunfire Games, Middle-earth Enterprises, Redoctane Games, and Warhorse Studios. Consequently, Fellowship Entertainment will own major intellectual properties such as The Lord of the Rings, Tomb Raider, Metro, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and several others.
Meanwhile, the remainder of Embracer Group will retain franchises like Gothic, Titan Quest, Killing Floor, Destroy All Humans!, Biomutant, and others. Subsidiary studios remaining with Embracer Group include Aspyr, Beamdog, CrazyLabs, Deca, Demiurge, DPI Merchandising, Limited Run Games, Milestone, PLAION Partners, PLAION Pictures, Tripwire, Vertigo Games, and THQ Nordic, alongside 35 other subsidiary studios and companies. According to Embracer Group, this division will provide both parties with more freedom, allowing Fellowship Entertainment to focus on game development, publishing, and licensing while Embracer Group engages in future mergers and acquisitions.
