Dubai and Xsolla to Launch New Game Accelerator in October

The Dubai Films and Games Commission has announced a partnership with Xsolla to launch a new game accelerator in October 2026, alongside establishing the world's second permanent Xsolla Club.

The Dubai Films and Games Commission (DFGC) has announced a new accelerator partnership with Xsolla, scheduled to launch in October 2026. This initiative builds on an MoU signed between Dubai and Xsolla last year and expands on previous collaborations, including market reports, networking events, and a studio accelerator programme announced earlier in the year. Through the new accelerator, developers will gain access to Xsolla’s specialized expertise.

Additionally, Dubai will host only the second permanent Xsolla Club globally. The club aims to provide local, regional, and international developers with direct access to Xsolla’s team. Alongside this partnership, the Good Game Club podcast is relocating to Dubai to focus on the positive impact of video games within the expanding ecosystem.

DFGC games commissioner Faisal Kazim emphasized the cultural and economic value of games, stating that innovatively built games can impart knowledge, connect people, and build careers. This perspective aligns with the wider Dubai Program for Gaming 2033, which seeks to attract companies, connect studios, develop local talent, and position the emirate among the world's top ten gaming destinations.

Reflecting this ongoing expansion, data indicates that the number of operating gaming companies in Dubai has grown from over 368 in 2024 to 495 in 2026, marking a 34.5% increase. Officials clarify that this figure represents total operating companies in the emirate rather than exclusively homegrown studios.
