Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 Receives New Trailer and Netflix Release Date

CD Projekt RED and animation studio Trigger have released a new teaser trailer and confirmed the release date for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2. The upcoming second season of the anime series is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on October 20.

Described as a standalone "raw story of revenge and redemption," Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes. The narrative features a brand-new cast of characters navigating their own conflicts across Night City, including characters named Weak Kingsley, Roman Carax, Talia Yang, and D. A teaser for the season was previously released in June.

The creative team behind the series includes director Kai Ikarashi and lead character designer Kanno Ichigo. Writers Bartosz Sztybor and Masahiko Otsuka also return to bring the action-packed anime to life. Additionally, the trailer features a musical track titled "A Rusty Dream," which was written, performed, composed, and arranged by the creative duo DOUDOU, consisting of Du Binger and Du Feier, and produced in collaboration with Yuyunhsieh.

The first season of the anime originally premiered on Netflix on September 13, 2022, with the sequel having been announced last year. In related developer news, CD Projekt RED announced that Cyberpunk 2077 recently reached a milestone of 40 million copies sold.
