BGMI Next Tournament: BMSD 2026 and BMIC 2026 Set to Follow BGMS Season 5

Following the recently concluded BGMS 2026, which saw Nebula Esports lift the trophy on September 6 for BGMS Season 5, attention in the competitive scene shifts toward Krafton India’s official esports circuit. The next tournament on the calendar is the Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown (BMSD) 2026, scheduled to run from September 22 to October 18, 2026.

BMSD 2026 is structured as an invite-only competition featuring 48 Indian teams and a prize pool of ₹1 crore. Teams are selected based on performances across the Krafton India Esports Leaderboard, BGIS 2026, and BMPS 2026. The competition opens with Qualifiers from September 22 to 30, where the 48 teams are divided into three groups of 16 playing under a promotion and relegation system with 18 matches per team. Following Upper and Lower Bracket Survival stages, Semi Finals, and a Last Chance stage, the LAN Grand Finals are set to take place from October 16 to 18. Beyond the prize pool, the BMSD champion qualifies for PMGC 2026, while the top six teams earn qualification for the BGMI International Cup (BMIC) 2026.

BMIC 2026 will follow as an international tournament scheduled from October 30 to November 1 in Mumbai at the Dome, SVP Indoor Stadium. Featuring a ₹1 crore prize pool, BMIC will host 16 teams consisting of six Indian squads, five South Korean squads, and five Japanese squads, offering Indian teams a chance to compete against regional opponents on home soil.
