Battlegrounds Mobile India 4.6 Update Brings Back Ocean Odyssey Mode

KRAFTON India has announced the return of the Ocean Odyssey themed experience to Battlegrounds Mobile India. The mode is coming back following continued interest and requests from the game community. Ocean Odyssey originally appeared as an underwater battle royale experiment on Erangel, featuring underwater movement, a Sea Suppressor air pocket barrier, the Ocean Palace, the Forsaken Ruins, the Trident weapon, and the Kraken.

The main BGMI 4.6 Update is scheduled to release on September 16, 2026. This initial update will introduce a darker supernatural theme called Midnight Hunters, which features Vampires, Vampire Hunters, Bloodwalkers, and Vampire Elders, alongside a mechanic allowing eliminated players to return as Vampires.

Ocean Odyssey will not launch immediately alongside Version 4.6. Instead, KRAFTON India confirmed that the underwater mode will become available two weeks later on September 30, 2026. Once active, Ocean Odyssey will remain playable on Erangel until November 16, 2026. This schedule gives players a chance to experience both the Midnight Hunters content and the returning underwater features within the same version cycle.
